Tough Mudder

This weekend was the event we’ve all been waiting for….Tough Mudder. Andrew put together a team to compete in the 2011 Beaver Creek Tough Mudder. The team, confusingly named TEXAS FOREVER even though only 50% of the team is from Texas, included 8 Studs and 1 Stud-ette.

A Little About Tough Mudder: Tough Mudder is not your average lame-ass mud run or spirit-crushing ‘endurance’ road race. It’s Ironman meets Burning Man. Our 10-12 mile obstacle courses are designed by British Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. Forget finish times. Simply completing a Tough Mudder is a badge of honor. Tough Mudder has raised over one million dollars for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Beaver Creek Course Stats: 9 Miles Long, 25 Obstacles, 4,250 Elevation Gain, 2.5 Hr Average Completion Time

I had a blast trying to run my pregnant tushy around the mountain taking pictures of the mudders. I finally caught them towards the end and snapped some action shots of their impressive team work. When they finished, they all received a t-shirt, head band and free beer!
