23 Weeks

Google says this little girl is now the size of a Papaya but I am thinking it must be more like a watermelon!!!!

With her sense of movement well developed by now, she baby can feel you dance. And now she’s more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby’s increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as the dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won’t faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

I am doing well this week – learning that I need to rest more than usual. I am starting to get really tired so naps and/or sleep-ins are becoming part of my norm. I have LOVED SEEING her move in my tummy this week. My stomach actually bounces when she kicks. Andrew can see it too! Amazing.

Something new is getting full really really fast, without very much food! I think she must be taking up so much room, I can’t fit as much in my tummy. I have to eat ALL DAY but small amounts.
