I had been looking forward to this weekend for MONTHS now. Two of our best friends, Tanner and Erin tied the knot. My week prior was spent in Philadelphia on business so I woke up at 400 Friday morning to fly across the country to Austin. Mom and Dad picked me up from the air port which absolutely made my day (it’s been 5 months since I’ve seen them!) After a much anticipated Mexican feast, we traveled to the Wyndham Hotel so I could hook up with the bridal party. Erin seemed calm and collected when I got there. She had planned everything to a T and the only thing left to do was enjoy the weekend. The bridesmaids were fantastic! So fun and so supportive. Erin is truly blessed by her close circle of friends.

The rehearsal went great even in spite of crazy wedding planning lady who yelled (or loudly instructed) everyone at least once that night. Kali Kate is gorgeous and the evening was perfect. The dinner was held at a cute little steak house tucked into the hill country. Dinner was yummy, toasts were sentimental and heart felt, and best of all…. The slide show! Pat put together the most incredible wedding slide show I have ever seen. It was masterfully placed to music and showed the life journey Erin and Tanner have been on before since birth.

Saturday

Erin gave all the girls purple tank tops (her colors) with our names embroidered with jewels to wear Saturday. We had a bridal lunch at East Congress Café that was excellent. Velesa did a great job picking out the location and thinking of everything (we even had laminated bridal lunch place mats!)

I took a walk with Mom and Dad downtown while Erin was getting hair and makeup done. It was wonderful to see them and spend time catching up! Austin is such a weird and cool town.

We headed to Kali Kate around 4 to get makeup done and wait for the ceremony to begin.

Christen was kind enough to come and take care of Erin, Kathleen, and Velesa’s makeup. She obviously did an amazing job make three beautiful women look all the more stunning. I haven’t seen Christen in over a year so I was ecstatic to see the momma-to-be this weekend.

The ceremony went smoothly (as all ceremony’s have been that I have seen Andy perform.) The flowers were extraordinary (thanks to Liz) They successfully got married and nobody tripped and fell on the long walk down the aisle!!

I had a blast at the reception. Because Erin and I went to high school together and Andrew and Tanner grew up together, I got to see so many wonderful people I haven’t seen in years!

Erin, you did such an amazing job planning your perfect day. I wish you and Tanner all the best this life has to offer and can’t wait to hang out soon as married couples!
